Trich Reset ("the app", "we", "us") is a self-help and wellness app that supports people managing trichotillomania (hair pulling). Your privacy matters deeply to us — the nature of this app means the information you share with it is personal, and we treat it that way.

Who we are

What we collect

• Account information: your email address, a display alias you choose, and your voice preference for meditations.
• Wellbeing data you enter: daily mood check-ins, journal entries, urge/pull logs, and your answers to the optional intake questionnaire (such as pulling style and triggers, used only to recommend meditations to you).
• Regrowth progress photos (optional): if you use the photo tracker, the photos you take or choose, the body area you tag, and the date. They are used only to show you your own progress over time.
• App activity: meditation listening progress, streaks, badges, and XP — used to power the app's features for you.
• Notification token: a device token, if you enable notifications, so the app can deliver reminders you've asked for.
• Payment information: subscription payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Google Play). We never see or store your card details.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data. Ever.
• We do not share your journal entries, mood data, or any wellbeing data with advertisers or third parties for marketing.
• We do not show ads.
• The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. It is a self-help and wellness tool.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored securely with Supabase, our database and storage provider, and is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is protected by row-level security: your entries are readable only by your own account.

Your progress photos

• Photos are stored in private storage that only your account can access. They are never public, and the app only displays them through short-lived private links.
• We do not share your photos with anyone, use them for advertising, or use them to train AI.
• Location and device information (EXIF data) is not kept with your photos.
• The app asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo. Choosing a photo from your library uses your phone's photo picker, which shares only the photo you select.
• Deleting a photo in the app permanently deletes the file. Deleting your account permanently deletes all of your photos.

Third-party services we use

• Supabase — database, authentication, audio storage, and private photo storage.
• Google Play Billing — subscription payments on Android.
• Expo — app infrastructure and notification delivery.

Each processes only what it needs to provide its service to us.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile tab → Delete account), which permanently removes your account and associated data from our systems. You can also email us at info@luxinnovations.com.au to request deletion or a copy of your data.

Children

Trich Reset is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
